What is Styloot?
Styloot is a free service that helps you find the styles you love.
You can use our point-and-click sketch tool to “draw” dresses, tops, pants, skirts, or shoes and we visually search more than 400,000 items from 4000+ brands to show the closest match. You can also send us photographs of styles that inspire you and we will find similar items. Best of all, you can browse inspirations posted by other users and our editorial team for trends and ideas.

Styloot is based out of Los Angeles & Pune, India.
CEO & Co-Founder
Carlota has held various leadership positions in Fashion and Media industries.
Most recently, she co-found Hautelook (December 2007) and was its Vice president until it was sold to Nordstrom in 2011. Before Hautelook, she was with Fox Television for 15 years producing news, entertainment and fashion shows, including the daily fashion segment - Style File. Carlota is a 3-time Emmy award winner.
Karthik Nandyal has held various leadership positions in Wall Street firms. His last job was with the High Frequency Trading Desk at BNP Paribas. Before that he worked for Instinet in New York and London.
Karthik studied Electronics Engineering and holds an MBA from University of Connecticut.
Karthik is also a galleried photographer.
Co-Founder & Investor
Samir Patil is a serial entrepreneur. Most recently he founded ACK Media which he grew to be India’s largest children’s media company (acquired by the Future Group, 2011). He was an Associate Partner in McKinsey & Company New York, before launching this venture. Samir was educated at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he received a Masters from the Sloan School of Management and from the School of Engineering.
Consulting CTO
Chris worked recently as a High Frequency Algo trader. Prior to that, he worked at a startup in the prediction markets space. He also worked as a postdoc at the Courant Institute at NYU, where he did research in medical imaging and computational science. He received his PhD in Mathematics from Rutgers University.
When he is not working, Chris dabbles in Filipino stick fighting.
